Even individuals need to develop a brand for themselves …. Whatever your area of expertise, you can take steps to make people think of YOU when they think of your field.

- Accelepoint Webzine
Your brand is a gateway to your true work. You know you are here to do something – to create something or help others in some way. The question is, how can you set up your life and work so that you can do it? The answer lies in your brand. When you create a compelling brand you attract people who want the promise of your brand – which you deliver -Dave Buck
All of us need to understand the importance of branding. We are CEOs of our own companies: Me Inc. To be in business today, our most important job is to be head marketer for the brand called You. – Tom Peters in Fast Company

It doesn’t matter how many times I have to click, as long as each click is a mindless, unambiguous choice.

My passion has always been focused on what I can create with the simplest of tools in my hands. I've never felt more capable of capturing my vision then with a pencil and a sheet of paper, so Illustration was always a natural place for me to end up. As I graduated the industry shifted to the newest tools of artistic expression as it always has, I had to follow suite in order to thrive commercially.
This site is proof that as an artist what you train isn't just your hands but your eye, some people are born with it, this is true, but the rest of us have to work for it. As my designs impoved so did my illustrations despite the difference in style and tools. I could improve at drawing without ever picking up a pencil. As my eye progresses, so does my art across all mediums and here you can witness this process.

Design is an expression of the purpose, and it may (if it is good enough) later be judged as art;

Design was a place I had never felt at home with, I looked back at what I had done early on and realized I had the tools to create but lacked the discipline and grasp of composition and color theory to create anything worthwhile. I could see the direction I wanted but couldnt accurately create it.
It took decades of training my eye to 'see' art in a different form. Today I can say I've still got a fair distance to travel, but I create design I am proud of now and I will continue to create in hopes that one day i will find that place where good design is immortalized in my heart.

Never fall in love with an idea. They’re whores. If the one you’re with isn’t doing the job, there’s always another.

Motion Theory is an art that has a focus on not just the speed and duration of objects but also the timing. I like to explain it as art at 30 frames a second all the way to 60 frames a second in some areas, smoothing out animations and adding a level of detail that cannot be seen with the naked eye, but rather felt.
An artist spends years gaining the proper experience to control timing and flow through motion, it has redefined art, culture and advertising. Motion is the latest medium, born of what I can easily call a 20th century renaissance that along with 3d has taken art to a new level.

3D design and illustration for artists is constantly evolving, trying to find that middle area between profitability and art.

Craig Thurman
I was lucky in that I got my start in 3D animation and design when it was new and the tools were still rough, I watched the different companies try to bridge that gap between modeling and sculpting, eventually leading to amazing tools that allow the artist to blur that line between what is real and what can be imagined.
Redefining our very view of reality by letting us see the impossible, 3D allows the artist the ultimate power to blend what is seen as real with life itself thus it has irrevocably altered society. What will people envision now that the tools can redefine reality?
